I spoke w/your cats and they said that they were totally bored by the sight of the new plant.  They have no interest in it at all and think you should bring them a new toy.

And a trampoline.

Gosh, I hope the cats are being good cats and not touching that plant. I had to rip out my lavender and anything else that flowered in the back yard, as Ruby who seems to like catching flies, caught a bee, which stung her throat, which meant a trip to the vet to get the sting out of her throat. I would rather Ruby be OK at home alone while we are at work, than have nice flowering plants in the garden.
