Ah Friday! My official night off. No cooking, no laundry, no yard work. In fact, my only errands tonight are to stop at the fabric shop to pick up some interfacing and the Chinese restaurant to pick up dinner. Neither of which are tough chores. D will bury himself in the SciFi Channel starting at 7 and will not re-emerge again till about 11. Me...who knows? Being a list maker, and planner and organizer I force myself to let Friday night happen as it happens. Maybe sewing, or TV or a book. It is my night to have real Coke with my rum (instead of diet), eat what ever sounds good without one moments consideration of its calorie content, and occupy my time strictly as I see fit. Why? Because the rest of the weekend is another kind of work - house work, yard work, busy work with chores stuffed in between. And this weekend will be a doozie. Bags to make, the master closet to clean out, a yard sale to put together for next Saturday and on, an on, and on. But not yet, not now - tomorrow. ‘Cause its Friday night ... and I’m off.
