I’ve been feeling a little um … defeated lately. I really can’t think of another way to describe it. I’m not unhappy by the standard definition but I’m not a bouncing ball-o-joy either. There are no serious malfunctions or major screw ups, I’m not behind in my work and life in general is fairly orderly. At the same time everything is just a little out of kilter. From broken nails to a ruining a pair of my $35 super socks my list of disappointments is long but not terribly tragic. There’ve been several expectations that simply cannot be met, some due to money, some to commonsense and some because they were rather unrealistic. There is freedom in letting these go but somehow it’s not quite offsetting the dissatisfaction. Or, maybe I just need more chocolate?
